The No. 1 school district with the best teachers in Connecticut is the Westport School District, according to this report by Niche.com.

Ranking factors are based on student and parent ratings of teachers, teacher salaries and data from the U.S. Department of Education, among others. 

Other Fairfield County school districts that earned a top grade in the new survey include:

  • New Canaan School District finishing third.
  • Wilton Public Schools in fourth place statewide.
  • Ridgefield School District in fifth place.
  • Weston School District in seventh place. 
  • Fairfield School District in 16th place.
  • Brookfield School District in 17th place.
  • Darien School District in 18th place. 
  • Newtown School District in 19th place.
